homefitnessintelIf you are a gym bum or a fitness addict and at the same time a movie buff but can’t find that sweet spot on which movies to watch while working out; You don’t have to worry, there are movies out there that you can watch while you are doing your routine at home and just by mere watching it, you will actually lose calories that will help you get you into your desired shape. Don’t worry, it’s scientifically proven, no matter how small the amount, who doesn’t like to burn calories even if their just sitting down, right?

The best exercise equipment to use while watching includes the treadmill, elliptical and stationary bikes. They don’t require a lot of concentration like other equipment that can be a reason for injury when you’re not paying attention.

We all have seen Paranormal Activity. back in 2007 this movie revived the “found footage” genre that was made popular by the Blair Witch Project franchise. This scary movie revolved around a young couple Micah and Katie who are being tormented by an evil presence in their big house in the suburbs. They have installed cameras around their home in an attempt to document and perhaps catch what really is haunting them. This movie will help you lose about 111 calories.

Now we have The Exorcist – A 1970s American horror classic, a book adaptation with the same name. however, the book was inspired by the exorcism of Roland Doe back in 1949. It revolved around a demonic possession of a 12 year old girl, played by Linda Blair, and her mother’s struggle to win her daughter back with the help of two priests through the means of exorcism. It’s regarded as one of the scariest movies of all time. It almost guarantees that by watching this film, it will eat up about 150 calories.

Another classic American horror film from the 70s is Alien by the great Ridley Scott, the film, as the title suggests, is about a highly violent and aggressive alien creature that continuously stalks and one-by-one kills a crew of a spaceship. It’s starring Sigourney Weaver and the alien creature concept was designed by the late, Swiss, surrealist artist H.R. Giger. This award-winning movie, that received an Academy award for Best Visual Effects, A Saturn Award for Best Science Fiction Film and a whole lot others will burn about 152 calories.

On the independent movie side, we have Saw. it came out back in 2004 and was directed by James Wan. It will become the first of seven movies in this franchise. The movie is about two men (Adam and Lawrence) chained in a decrepit underground bathroom and both are given tapes with instructions on how to escape their current situation. Adam is told to just escape while Lawrence was instructed to kill Adam before a certain time, or his family will be killed. All this was considered as a “game” by their captors. Meanwhile police are working relentlessly to find the current victim’s whereabouts and apprehend the mastermind behind all of the similar abductions and killing similar to the current one. This modern thriller will cost you about 130 calories after it’s all said and done.
